In active clinical use

The REDi POD+ and REDi 360 Cave are both installed and operating at Reform Sports — Sports Injury Rehabilitation and Performance Recovery, Sunshine Coast QLD. Both units are used daily as working clinical tools across athlete rehabilitation and performance recovery protocols. Not a showroom. A working clinic.

The science

Why irradiance is the specification that matters most.

Irradiance is the amount of light energy delivered per unit area per unit time — it determines the dose a session actually delivers, which is what the photobiomodulation literature describes as the variable that matters. The Haven delivers 100 mW/cm² measured at 15cm, across a curved 320° chamber, from 4,500W and 26,880 LEDs. The curved geometry is not aesthetic. It holds the panels closer to the body across more surface area, which is what keeps delivery even from head to foot rather than concentrated at the centre.

We don't ask you to trust us. We ask you to read the research. The REDi Haven is built to deliver red and near-infrared light at the wavelengths, irradiance, and coverage described in peer-reviewed photobiomodulation literature.
Red — 633nm + 660nm
Surface delivery, evenly

Red wavelengths at 633nm and 660nm are among the most studied in photobiomodulation research, including for their role in recovery, comfort, and skin appearance. The Haven delivers 100 mW/cm² at 15cm across the full curved chamber — 25% more than the POD+ at 80 — so delivery holds up at the edges of the chamber, not only at the centre.

Near-infrared — 810nm + 850nm + 940nm
Five wavelengths, independently set

Near-infrared light reaches deeper than visible red. 850nm is the most widely studied near-infrared wavelength in recovery research; 810nm and 940nm extend the range the Haven can deliver. Five wavelengths in total, each independently controllable, so a session can be set to what you are actually running rather than a single fixed output.

What these wavelengths are studied for: Red and near-infrared light in this range has been studied extensively for its role in muscle recovery, comfort, and skin appearance.

Hamblin, M.R. (2017). AIMS Biophysics, 4(3), 337–361.

Dose and delivery: The literature describes a biphasic dose-response — what a session delivers depends on dose, not simply on how long it runs. Irradiance and output determine that dose, which is why both are specified on this page rather than left implied.

The REDi Haven

Every specification exists for a clinical reason.

LED quantity

26,880 EPISTAR®

24% more than the POD+. Higher density means more uniform irradiance — fewer gaps, more consistent delivery across the full chamber.

Output power

4,500W

29% more than the POD+. Higher irradiance per session — more photons delivered to tissue, stronger cellular response at the same session length.

Irradiance

100 mW/cm² at 15cm

25% more than the POD+ at 80 mW/cm². Irradiance determines the dose a session delivers — it is the specification that separates the two units in practice.

Wavelengths

633 · 660 · 810 · 850 · 940nm

Five wavelengths, independently controllable. Two visible red, three near-infrared — the range most consistently used across published photobiomodulation research.

Coverage

320° curved chamber

Curved design maintains closer panel-to-body proximity across more surface area — keeping delivery even across the chamber rather than concentrated at the centre.

Pulse frequency

0–10,000Hz

Adjustable duty cycle. Pulsed delivery is used across published protocols where continuous output is not the intent.

Control system

Dual: touchscreen + external

Staff manage sessions from outside the chamber — useful for high-volume facilities running clients back to back without interrupting a session in progress.

Dimensions and weight

215 × 106 × 92cm · 270kg

Larger internal chamber than the POD+. At 270kg, floor load and delivery access are confirmed before build — see installation requirements below.

Warranty

3 years

Australian team. Direct contact. Not a ticket system. Commercial-grade build designed for high-volume operation over years.

Installation requirements: 220V single phase, 32 amp dedicated circuit with RCD. Floor space approximately 225 × 115cm plus access on both sides. At 270kg, delivery access — doorway clearance, floor load, lift access where applicable — needs to be confirmed before order. We review all of this during the consultation. If there is a constraint, we identify it before you commit.
Built to last

Overengineered by design.

What separates a device that performs for years from one that degrades within months is not visible in a product photo.

100,000h LED operational lifespan

EPISTAR® chips rated for 100,000 hours of operation. At 8 sessions per day in a high-volume facility, that is decades of consistent output — not the 12–18 month degradation curve of generic LED alternatives.

99% Light transmittance — UK Lucite® acrylic

The curved Lucite® panel delivers 99% light transmittance across the full chamber. Generic acrylic in cheaper alternatives delivers 60–80% — reducing how much light actually reaches the body, invisibly and on every single session.

3yr Warranty — Australian team

A warranty is only as valuable as the team behind it. REDi is an Australian business. When you call, you speak to someone who knows your unit and can act. Response within one business day.

5 Five wavelengths, held accurately

633nm, 660nm, 810nm, 850nm, 940nm — the range used across published photobiomodulation research. Independently controllable. Wavelength drift in lower-quality LEDs means the light delivered is not the light specified, regardless of stated output power.

AU Independently tested

Independently tested to IEC and EN electrical safety, photobiological safety and EMC standards. Test reports available on request. For a 4,500W device operating commercially, independent testing is a baseline we can evidence on request — not a marketing line.

MTO Made to order

Every REDi Haven is built to your specifications — not pulled from a warehouse. Your unit, for your space and requirements. The 30–40 day build timeline reflects that standard.

The investment

What it costs. What it replaces. What it generates.

Price follows the mechanism, specification, and build quality — because context changes what a number means.

REDi Haven — investment
$44,999.00

Made to order. 30–40 day build and delivery. 3-year warranty. Australian support team.

For individual buyers: Clinic sessions on equipment at this level cost $80–$150 a visit. Four times a week, that is $1,390–$2,600 every month — and you own nothing at the end of it. Across the three-year warranty the Haven costs $1,250 a month of its own value. It costs less to own than the sessions cost to attend, at either end of that range. After that, the sessions cost you nothing at all.

For facility buyers: At 8 sessions per day at $80 across 20 operating days — $12,800 in monthly session revenue against $1,250 a month of asset cost. Under four months of operation covers the investment in full. The remaining warranty life is margin.

The threshold

One client a day covers it.

Across the three-year warranty the Haven costs about $41 a day to own. A single $80 session covers nearly two of those days. Run one client a day across twenty operating days and the unit is paid for — before you have touched the other seven slots.

1 a day

$1,600 a month at $80 a session — against $1,250 of monthly asset cost

$12,800/mo

At eight a day. Everything past the first session is margin

Session volumes and pricing are illustrative and based on the figures above. Daily and monthly asset cost is the purchase price spread across the three-year warranty period, and excludes running costs, staffing, and premises. Commercial equipment financing is available through established partners for qualifying buyers — terms are set by your lender.

Bring your own numbers to the consultation call. We will run them with you honestly, including the case where the POD+ is the better buy for your volume.

Before you book the call

Questions we get asked.

Is the step up from the POD+ actually worth it for my situation?
The honest answer is irradiance and volume. The Haven delivers 100 mW/cm² at 15cm against the POD+'s 80 — 25% more light energy per unit area — from 26,880 LEDs at 4,500W against 21,600 at 3,500W. It also has dual control, so staff run sessions from outside the chamber. If you are running back-to-back clients through a busy space, that combination matters. Single-practitioner clinic or a private installation with standard requirements — the POD+ may be entirely sufficient, and we will tell you that on the call. We would rather you buy the right bed than the more expensive one.
Is the research real — or is it overstated?
Photobiomodulation has a large peer-reviewed literature, and the wavelengths the Haven delivers are the ones most consistently used across it. What we will not do is tell you what the device treats — we are not registered to make therapeutic claims and we do not make them. What we will tell you is what the unit delivers, at what irradiance, at what wavelengths, and point you to the research so you can form your own view. Ask before the call and we will send the key studies.
How is this different from cheaper alternatives — specifically?
Four measurable differences: LED quality (EPISTAR® chips rated to 100,000 hours vs generic chips that degrade within 12–18 months), panel transmittance (99% Lucite® vs 60–80% generic acrylic), wavelength accuracy (the specified wavelengths, held, rather than approximate), and independent testing to IEC and EN electrical safety, photobiological safety and EMC standards, with local warranty and support. These are the variables that determine whether the unit still delivers what it was specified to deliver in year three — not just in the first month.
Can I finance the purchase?
Yes. Commercial equipment financing is available through established finance partners for qualifying clinics, facilities, and private buyers — so you deploy the asset from day one while preserving working capital. Rates and terms are set by the lender against your circumstances, so we do not quote them here. Raise it on the call and we will connect you with the right options for your situation.
What exactly happens if something fails under warranty?
You contact the REDi team directly. We assess, determine warranty coverage, and act. Component failures are replaced. Site visits coordinated where needed. Unit replacement under warranty where applicable. Direct contact, response within one business day. Not a portal. Not an overseas queue.
What are the exact installation requirements?
220V single phase, 32 amp dedicated circuit with RCD. Floor space approximately 225 × 115cm plus access on both sides. 270kg — doorway clearance, floor load capacity, and lift access where applicable need to be confirmed before order. We review all of this in the consultation. If there is an issue, we identify it before you commit.
How quickly do clients tend to notice something?
Most people report that recovery feels easier within the first week or two of consistent use, and changes in skin appearance are typically noticed over six to eight weeks. This varies between individuals and depends on how consistently sessions are run — we are describing what users report, not promising a result. One session shows a client the experience. A month shows them whether it belongs in their routine.
